Helping Fate Help You

I am a believer in Fate. I even use it in my tag line as an paranormal romance author and publisher. But we can't always rely on Fate alone.

Fate is life. What it throws at you, where you end up. Somethings we can't control, I agree...that's when I rely on Fate, God, whatever force is in control from the time of our birth until the end.

We are given independent freedoms to guide our direction though. Recklessness will lead us one way, playing it too safe...no where. I kind of like to think I'm somewhere in between. It's knowing what is right for us, our families, our lifestyles which in my way of thinking, guides our Fate.

In the past decade I have raised two beautiful, talented daughters from teens to young adults. I've watched them graduate high school and focus on their Fates. I've traveled to Europe with my husband, twice, have taken our first cruise and embarking on our second this spring. And yes, I've become a professional romance author both traditionally published and self-published, learning the in's and out's of the new career path I've taken.

But I've also learned in the past few years the seriousness of internal disease. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease (Celiac Sprue) is not something I ever expected. Living Gluten-Free is not a dietiary choice, it's a necessity I've chosen to live a healthier life for me. But when I figured it was a 'diet', I thought I would lose weight (silly me).

In my need to be Gluten-Free I've added calories and weight to my diet I didn't realize before. I wasn't one for pasta and breads in the past because I didn't care for the taste (I know...it's a long story, one I'm sure is based on wheat flour and I in the past), but now with using new grains in those dishes...so much tastier that even my family enjoys them more. NOT GOOD. I am now trading calories and fat just in a different form of grain.

That and my sitting down and writing job (BICHOK...Butt in chair, hands on keyboard) is not conducive to losing the butt, gutt or any other part of my body stuck in that chair. So since I've been diagnosed, I've gained a great deal of weight...gradually but steadily to the point where high blood pressure and diabetes are creeping quickly into my health issues.

So my choices to help guide my Fate are to maintain a healthier lifestyle in not only being Gluten-Free but Health Issue Free...I don't want to trade one bad for another. I've been playing with that Reckless side too freely and need to focus on balance again...as a permanent goal.

This blog site is not intended to be about weight loss or health issues in general, but to accentuate the positive goals in our lives...whether it be careers, personal life/love, the pursuit of happiness or healthiness. So I would like to see blog posts to encourage and energize us in spirit...something positive in this world.

If you have an article you would like to share, please let me know. I would love to post it. Since I kicked this new blog site off...let's see where it goes from here. Send me your Positive/Encouraging article ideas to Loni Lynne at lonilynne@gmail.com and please put Re: Fate Blog in the Subject line.

There are a few rules I would like to add though:
  • ABSOLUTELY NO: bashing, bad-talking, bullying of others (in articles or comments) Also, keep it PG-13.
  • POSITIVE VIBES ONLY  (There is enough negativity in this world.)
  • RELIGION AND POLITICAL RANTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ON ANY LEVEL. (Loni Lynne has the rights to delete all comments pertaining to such as they can lead to negativity. If you want that, go see Facebook)
  • No advertising or promotions are allowed in the articles or comments. If you have a question about an article/author...please contact them privately. (I will have some embedded codes on my side bar that main contain links to sites. These are not for promtional purposes but graphs and goal tags for me personally that I wish to share with my guests. If you click on them, it is the readers perogative.)

Thank you and I hope to see you all back soon!
